I was out and about today and thought I'd take a look down at Lysterfield lake.

It was quite windy plus the lighting wasn't the best but I managed a few images.

Nice seat if you don't mind getting your feet wet :)

Early in the morning (day break) or dusk and it's usually dead still.

Thanks K1W1,

I was in the mood to fire off a few shots, and because I had to go to Pakenham earlier, decided to call in on the way back as its not too far off the beaten track.

Was considering heading up to Healesville tomorrow, but looks like we may get some rain. So that can be for another day.

That sky in 1 is special.

The cloud formations throughout the day were all over the place. Once the wind picked-up they moved quite rapidly and were in constant change. The last image of the burnt out tree on the day looked great when viewing in the flesh, other than the sun just to the left of the frame. However it doesn't come across the same in the image, possibly due in part to the different angle of view.

I hear ya, what the eye and camera see can be so frustratingly different. I think the other shrubbery on the right takes too much attention off your burnt tree, in the flesh I bet you didn't even notice it.

Great sky! I would have tried to make more of that.
