Hello all after searching for a cheap price on the 70-200mm I came across this for $700 and the postage is free coming from hong kong http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Canon-EF-70-200mm-f-4-L-USM-70-200-f4-fr-500D-5D-50D-7D-/370431050129?pt=UK_Lenses_Filters_Lenses&hash=item563f694191

Try and save the $ for an IS one Simon. will worth it for a slower F4 lens.

Id be going with DWI. They have been nothing but awesome for me. usually have the item within 5 days.
I own this lens and its a cracker. I dont use it that much anymore and IS is good, But i dont know if its $500 more good. Some need it some dont. I dont find i get much camera shake in my shots but that could come down to my amazing biseps. hehehe. I believe that according to the tests of a few sites its the sharpest zoom lens canon have ever produced. The only thing i will say is that i see you shooting alot of motorbike stuff and sports stuff and you have the 24-105 covered and your 150-500 covered. Any reason your going for a 70-200? It might be worth going for a F2.8 so you can add a TC if you need too.

Yep that's my problem really is there any point getting the IS one as I have amazing biceps as well ;) and I would only really be using it during the day anyway. the main reason I would like the 70-200mm is that I get really close to the action just a few meters so this would be my in between lens of the two so I'm not always changing lenses if that makes sence, I might have to have a look on that site at the 2.8 :)

Edit. Ill see how i go with the 24-105 before i make my final decision

I have the 70-200f4 L IS, and bought it from DWI (along with a Canon 7d, 24-105L, 100 macro and now another 24-105L which I'm waiting on arrival). Have not had any problems with them at all. Usually receive stuff within the week, considering we're 'out in the sticks' so to speak.
