Hi,

I bought this cheap plastic solar light when we first moved to CARALAN about 11 years ago.

I stuck it against the shed to light my way to the chook yard. It's been out in all the elements - 40 degree heat, frost, snow, rain.

It's still going bright and strong - same battery. (all the others bought in the same packet died many, many years ago)

I'm flat out getting two/three years out of newer, more expensive ones.

Whatever battery is in this light needs some serious research I reckon.

Maybe others have similar experiences - it's all about the light :)

Cheers

Yeah, must be some sort of record. Stuff like that when I buy it, usually expires a couple of days after the warranty runs out.

Nothing is built to last anymore, seems to be more and more a throwaway society:rant:
rant over.:D

Wow! a long lasting light that doesnt want you getting lost.. Maybe you can retrofit the battery to fit the camera Alan!

Wow. 11 years is amazing enough. But in use everyday, In the elements is amazing.

That's amazing Alan, I've rarely seen these things last more than a couple of years.
