Ok, here is the first shot i have processed form my recent drive to snobs creek falls with my wife (jolittlebear) and Steve (RPO83)
As we drove past this Paddock just outside Thornton in country Victoria, there was a thick fog over the paddock, shrouding the lonely gum Trees in a thick eerie mist.
Both Steve and myself went in search of the "lone tree in the paddock shot" and here is my first take at it.
Comments greatly appreciated.
Thanks for looking.

The B&W really suits the image Ant.
Lovely shot, isn't it interesting how 2 people shooting 1 tree in a paddock can come up with totally different interpretations.
So stop drinking the red, and finish more shots.....

I don't like overly processed images, but if you want to play, you could try upping the contrast, maybe pull the greens back and add some film noise..

I love the atmosphere and agree with Steve, it doesn't need any processing to my eyes. I'd like to see a different crop if you have one, one that makes the tree smaller against the background to isolate it more and give it more "size" with more grey to the left. Saying all that, I'd still be proud to put that on my wall any day of the month :)

Thanks Gluggy. I have a couple of others, where the tree is smaller and a bit more shrouded by the fog, so i will try process them and put them up for comparison.

I agree with Gluggy, and look forward to seeing more versions of this lovely scene.
