I havent been birding for a while...but enjoyed some leisurely time yesterday to enjoy :)

Excellent work on these especially the flighty little Thornbill....and gotta love the pollen on the Spinebills beak...he's been a busy little Spiny by the look of it.....so what lens/camera was this with ?

Wow, if you haven't been out for a while it was certainly worth it this time! The spinebill with the pollen on his beak is simply fabulous, what a great catch! You also struck gold with the Thornbill as well, they don't hang around for long! Both well caught and both are beautiful images.

I have another shot with the spiny busy with the beak amongst the bushes, might put it up later...
50D + 100-400, both shots @ 400mm/f5.6/ISO 400

100-400 lens is a lovely bit of glass, only wish I could afford one as well as my 500mm f4

These are beautiful!

Such lovely light, sharpness and background.

You need to get out more :)
