View Full Version : Sonja - at Montsalvat
So I don't post here much (mainly cause I'm too lazy/busy with work). But here are some shots from a shoot I did with a friend (well she wasn't a friend at the time, but now we are friends).
Technical details: all shot with a Nikon D90. I used a 70-200 f/2.8 and a 50 f/1.4 for these. All photos are a combination of on and off camera lighting (except the 2 sepia'ish ones where she is holding the frame)
Location: Montsalvat
Model: Sonja (make up by her sister)

Jai, I can see them now (dunno what happened before). Loving #2 and #3 particularly and I reckon that little white dress has a lot do with it.
Lovely stuff mate.
thanks andrew - i find the more i look at my photos, the more i like them.

It's great if you can find someone to work/practice with regularly..................tends to bring out the best in both of you as you establish a working relationship.
and other sorts of relationships ;)

Great photos, great model and great location. I like the idea of the last one as well. I probably would go for cloning out the hanging wire / thread to actually give the effect that the model is part of the picture in the frame. Also the spider web near her right arm gives the feeling that she has been "hanging" there for a while.
Linda
very nice. Thanks for sharing!

I think these are good but I don't like the way the archway interesects her head, +1 on the hanger wire in the last shot, rather than edit out, a bit of forethought would have been much easier to just take it off before the shot.

Or too busy on FB!!
Love them all Jai. She is a lovely model which obviously helps. What lens did you use for these?
Good to actually see you active on here - you should jump on more often...
Your shots are always beautiful!
