Here is a selection from my photowalk with my son last night. We mainly stayed around the Story Bridge area, we'll do Kangaroo Point and Southbank another night. All taken with my 10-22.

Gorgeous Lloyd!! Lovely colours and your composition is great! I like the last image the best...but I'd just straighten those buildings in the foreground, so they don't look like they are falling into the river!

Lovely photos mate! Yes, please you must do Southbank and Kangaroo point another night. Ansolutely stunningly beautiful spots. Especially, Southbank where we are currently building our new home. Just can't wait to move in....It's nearly ready!

Thanks Vicki. Yeh, I know the buildings can be fixed, but I’m an intellectual desert when it comes to PP haha. My son is going to try and teach me some tricks before he heads back over to the States so I’ll see if I can fix it then. I’m only just getting my head around Lightroom. They all have a bit of LR PP done to them.

Thanks einesonne. If you are going to live there you are pretty lucky. My son and his wife both worked in the city before heading overseas and they lived in an apartment right in the city itself. We loved visiting them, it is another completely different lifestyle down there. I was a country boy and hated going to any city, I was always apprehensive and really thought they were mad when they made the move, but after many visits to them it has completely converted me. That is where he got his love of photography, which in turn hooked me in haha After Saturday night I can’t wait to head back in.

Nice again, LJG.
Agree about the tilted buildings being straightened.
The reflections (#1) really make the river look golden!!

Thanks Scott. OK, I've taken the hint!! I searched the net and found out how to straighten stuff in CS4. I've had it for a while but just never use it because I've always been a bit daunted by the complexity of it. BUT I'VE ACTUALLY DONE IT :dance:

It took all your comments to get me motivated enough to do something about my Exceptionally POOR PP skills - no wait, that isn't a strong enough term - I'm just plain DUMB with PP haha. I did lose some of the image though, because once I'd straightened the biuldings virtically it tilted the path, so I had to straighten it back up

Thanks guys for giving me the push I needed. It isn't that hard, I actually surprised myself :showoff:

Thanks Timmo. Now I know how to do it I have NO excuses haha

Sorry the "bent" original is gone, but I wanted to keep my Flikr page for my "good" offerings. I know it sounds a little mad but my PB account was clogged with lots shots that were just put up for things like TPBM ect etc and you end up with a whole lot of pretty ordinary shots in it. I'll probably still use PB for that sort of stuff and only use Flickr for my better offerings.
