Well you put it into pick it to pieces, and.......I can't fault it, very amazing shot.
Lovely image , and that chair looks so enticing !!!!! :)

Thanks Jim, appreciated. It was not my first attempt ;)

Thanks Simon. I walk past that chair every so many times and do enjoy just sitting and relaxing in it, the problem is not laying my head back and going bye byes for an hour or so haha

Thanks Michael. I put it in pick it to pieces because I really wanted some heavy critique on it. I am trying very hard to improve my PP skills and got no response to my last effort. I will admit it was a boring river scene but I did a heap of PP on it to get it to the point where I posted. I still feel my PP is not where it should be.

Thanks Julie. Would you believe it took many shopping trips to find that chair! My wife loved the adventure of visiting every furniture shop with 100klm of home but I was tearing my hair out in the end haha

I'm finding it difficult to offer any suggestions about the PP on this image Lloyd. It' an outstanding image and the title is perfect.
Darkening the edges has worked well as it looks as though there are some distracting elements on the LHS that could have killed the image if they were visible. To my eye this image is spot on and I long for the day when my skill level approaches what you have achieved here.

Lloyd, It looks a very inviting space to occupy, and I cant think of anything with the pic I'd personally change.
I reckon thats the type of photo that would sell at a stock photo site.

There is one major issue with the photo.
The person who is supposed to be relaxing there is missing!!!!
Very nice.

Beautiful - I can't find anything to pick on either - but agree with Scott - I wonder what a second photo would look like with a person asleep and the book on their lap.
Well done

Awe shucks Mick, I’m all embarrassed now. Thank you for your kind words. My PP was legendary because it was so crook. Then along came Ian (lost u 2) and with his prompting & advice I’ve been working very hard on it. I still have a long way to go but feel like I am getting there with everybody’s kind comments.

Thanks Scott, the only trouble is it would have to be my wife, because I’d ruin the shot haha

Thanks Alan, appreciated. I may try that another day, sneak up on her haha
Lovely warm ambience to that cnr of the room, the light dropoff at the front works well.
The addition of the novel adds to that relaxing feel too.
Nice place btw :)
Thanks E05. I had quite a few different shots of it with and without the book and without it seemed like something was missing, like it was telling you something, but didn't quite fit with the story I was trying to get it to tell. Does that make sense haha

The subtle lighting makes it, in my humble opinion. It's dark, but light enough to let one discover all the details one by one. Lovely spot and photo.
Thank you very much Federico, appreciated.

Thanks Xaiya, not sure about the self portrait bit though, have a squizz at the rude head in my avatar, it's been around the block a few too many times and I think I'd ruin any shot I was in, that's why I stay behind the lens haha
