I know that there are two polarized camps when it comes to Gary Fong flash diffuses, but that aside I just wanted to ask if these look virtually identical to the real thing?

I have one of those, bought it not realising that it was a knock of. Price seems right for a piece of plastic but there is probably a lot of work in the development. I don't use the coloured caps, so can't comment but have seen comments that the colours are bad compared to the originals. I am happy with the performance otherwise.

Camps are not polarised Jim, there are just levels of enlightment :)

And, if you want these things, given all the other gear you have :showoff:...then stick with the orginals. Knock-offs are knock-offs, and little things like colour balance matter.

They sell that lambency brand in Michaels camera store for almost as much as original, so that's a good price. And with the dollar, its a pretty cheap experiment

I think the light sphere is actually an ok product but with limited use and can probably be replicated with a good use of bounce flash

I use the demb flip-it which I like because its more tailorable

I bought mine from Phottix when they were at the Sydney photo show... Was about $15- from memory.
