...get your HDRi's??
Just a thread for member's if they want to share how they achieve their HDR's.
I am in no way saying the below is the right process, its simply how i do it.
I am using a 50D and most of the time for landscapes a Canon 24-70L f/2.8.
On the 50D you can program your camera to shoot auto bracketed exposures ( AEB ) i have custom set this function so my "FUNC." button can set the AEB.
How?? Menu > 2nd from the right > C.FNIV: OPERATION/OTHERS > N#7 assign FUNC. Button > 2: Exposure Comp/AEB setting.
OK so actually taking the shot.
A tripod is definitely needed. Most of my apertures are between f9.0 - f/16, i never lift my ISO from 100. The difference is massive, at 200 the noise is easily visible. I Use Aperture Priority Mode for my HDR's aswell, i am yet to play with manual Also shoot in RAW!!! So now that your set to take the shot, you need to enable the AEB function. So select the "FUNC" button and move the top wheel to the right until your three points read -2 0 +2 and press OK. For good measure, i always use a shutter trigger to eliminate any miss matching frames.
Now that you've taken your shots you can process them.
There are a few programs out there. I have used Adobe Photoshop, High dynamic HDR and photomatix. Photomatix is by far the best to use IMHO.
Here is a basic tutorial that explains what all the bars are for...

I tend to go for a more subtle look. With no Halo's or blown out saturation's, but that's just my personal taste.
From here, i save it as a Tiff at the highest quality and take it too CS4 and start my post work. Becuase i shoot at 100 ISO and keep the subtle look i have no need for any Noise reduction. But if you do need something, PS has a OK filter, otherwise there is a program/plug-in called "Noise Ninja".
I only do the basics to start with. Unsharp mask, correct saturation, Levels, Curves and correct colour Tones.
Depending on the pic, there may be some more exposure blending, cloning, manipulation and colour changes.
Thats pretty much my process. If you have any questions, please ask away. I'd be happy to answer them.
hopefully this helps someone and i am hopeful I've strung a semi coherent work flow precess essay together :P
Please if anyone else would like to share their work flow i would love to read/hear it. I love trying a new approach on things and hearing how all of you get your beautiful images.
and most of all, enjoy!
