This is a tutorial explaining what you need to make a cheap, sound activated trigger for a flash. Timing can be delayed to flash at a precise moment.
I know nothing about electronics, have posted this for those who do that might want to give this a try.

Electronics are a wonderul thing. When I started out as pro, a device like ShutterBeam (a commercial version of your link) cost many thousands of dollars, and was difficult to source. Now a ShutterBeam is about $700, and works off sound, IR or laser triggers. I don't have a ShutterBeam at home, but I do have a Lightening Trigger (basically a light trigger), cost me less than $150 three years ago...
Never quite worked out why my wife thinks I've still some growning to do :rolleyes: But for those who don't know about photography triggers, its worth five minutes of surfing time to discover the opportunities they might present you :bounce:
