Being 2011, I have decided to build a new word press site to display some of my pics..
Having built one last year, I am a bit clearer on what I want now.
I am looking to have a word press site built off a template, which displays my photos nicely, is not flashed based, has customizable page width(some are quite skinny and I don't like that) can add my logo, along with custom background colours ( I like a dark background)

I might be able to do this with one of the simple word press templates, however I am not sure about editing CSS. I was wondering if anybody knew of a available template which suits the need I have mentioned above?

Cheers in advance
Anthony

Install a new instance of WP.

Go to your dashboard and click Appearance. This will take you to the Manage Themes page.

Click Add New. This will take you to the Install Themes page. There's about fifty thousand free themes to choose from. Do a search on the features you want and install half a dozen to make your final choice from.

This what ya want? http://bitfreedom.com/dragonskin/

Thanks Laurie!! Jsut re-energised the hosting package (paid the bill;) ) so should be ready to satrt setting up again soon. This time i plan to take my time and not rush to get it all up and published as soon as possible. I am hoping this time i can iron out a few of the things that bugged me before!

I have been able to tweak the Autofocus theme to suit me a bit more. I had no real prior experience with CSS or HTML for that matter. So it was all a massive learning experience.

Still trolling through the millions of templates available. Slowly narrowing down the list. Really taking my time though to find something I am pretty happy with, so I can then begin to build a wordpress I am also happy with.
