Horizon Straightening with FASTSTONE IMAGE EDITOR

I'd like to introduce members to Faststone Image Editor. Free, fast and powerful, it's my favourite viewer and great for quick adjustments to my photos.

Firstly, here's where to download it. After you've installed it, run the program. http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDownload.htm
If you want Faststone to be your default viewer for your images (JPG, RAW etc), select the ASSOCIATION tab and choose your preferences.
Then adjust the other settings as you wish by selecting each of the relevant tabs.

For Now - it's how to correct horizons. (menus are available by Right-Clicking on the image OR moving your mouse to the edge of screen - EASY!)

This photo (original) shows a horizon which needs straightening. It slopes 1.7 to the left.

Using Faststone Image Viewer, select STRAIGHTEN from the menu, after you move your mouse to the left edge of your screen.

This will show the ROTATE box and you can fix the horizon quickly and easily.

    But Wait - there's more!
If you are viewing an image with Faststone in RAW, JPG etc, you can load it directly into your preferred photo editing program by pressing "E".
Just search the program and select it. You can add more programs and a shortcut will be added automatically.

Thanks Pete. I don't know why more aren't using it.
