I used Affinity Photo here. I was experimenting with the rectangular-polar filter, and this is what I came up with.
First time I have used it, but I will play again when I have some time spare.....

I haven't had much success with polar either, certainly not to the standard Alan and Barb gets.

I had another look at this last night, there doesn't seem to be much you can do to change things much with the program I used, seems to be pretty limited. I will play with it more another day though, maybe I missed something

There is nothing to change in the PS Polar Filter either - except the rotation of the image before you start, Brad

The most time consuming part is selecting the right image - and then getting a seamless join

As mentioned before, I do a bit of fooling around with this stuff like Alan. Here's one that was a pure accident, turning a shutter image into 2 elephants.
