  • Selective colour with a difference.

    I was playing with selective colour (red) on this image (Japanese gardens in Toowoomba) and I was a bit underwhelmed. So I added a bit of colour to selected areas and came up with this.
    I aso played with the hue of the added colours for a more unusual look. It was fun to do and I thought it came out OK, but comments and opinions are always welcome.

    Works well, have a bridge just like that at the Arboretum.

      Thanks Greg. Probably made by the same crew! The red really makes the whole area pop. I took hundreds of photos with quite a few keepers.

    good colour job, I think the bridge works well in its surroundings so well done there.
    not sure the frames help this, particularly the larger outer one, you may be able to justify the inner one, but not the outer, all it does is pull the eyes away from a nice image. well done

      You're right about the frame, It does take over. Maybe a lighter colour.
