    is owl nesting season soon, so I like to go check how they are going as the time comes closer.
    they can be hard to find over summer but become easier as it gets closer to nesting.
    seems only one of last years owlets made it, but guess is better than none.
    couldnt find the female today, but here is dad. seemed quite interested in me today. usually he not give a rats...........

    d4 600 f4 tripod 1/200 f5.6 iso 1600 full frame.
    was shooting almost into sun so put a bit of vignette on this to tone down the whites behind but perhaps over did it a tad?

    Must admit I did not notice the background until you mentioned it. A bit messy but I am sure most wouldn't notice. Powerful picture with those eyes looking at you.
    Better a full bottle in front of me
    than a full frontal lobotomy.

      Good to see you back with another great image. Yes, possibly a tad overdone - tricky light.

        Nice shot of the owl but the darkening of the background jumped out at me, probably because I tend to overdo it at times as well.
