    Nice capture as it's about to take flight. I can't work out what the thing is at it's back end - looks like a plastic lid off a bottle?

      Long feathers. They do loo long for the size of the bird. I don't think I have sen one close up even though they are all over Australia.

    did well in harsh light. wonder if that round thing on the back of it is a gps tracker?

      Thanks you two.

      I hadn't noticed that.

      You could be right about the tracker. These trained birds fly free around the presentation.

      The presenter was a bit worried about a wild Hobby flying over as his birds could get a bit territorial
