    G'day mate

Q- there's something about the kooka background that bothers me, but can't quite put my finger on it

Thanks Phil. The kooka was in a bit of a dull part of the bush and it was a bit windy. Only cropped and slight sharpen. Here's the exif data: 1/640 sec | Aperture priority | F 6.3 | ISO 1600 | 500 mm | Center weighted average Metering.

On looking at the background, it is a real mess of twigs and bushes and does look a bit weird, especially when it is blurred.

Ive never seen those Shelducks before, nice looking birds, and well photographed.
    Cheers, Brad.

Thank you Ironwood. There is plenty of them round here and they always have their bubs here as well, The bubs are very cute and fluffy and completely oblivious to humans when they are being shown how to hunt for their food by mum and dad. Hopefully another big batch this spring. The 2 black swans have returned to nest here so some cygnets might be on the way too.

prefer the shell ducks in this series, the bokeh on the kooka looks kinda funky as has been suggested. the bisecting twig is a bummer too. magic water on the duckies too good work

Thanks Stephen. Glad you like the Shelducks, They seem to like our lake a lot. The twig can be easily cloned out I guess.
Working...
