Such a natural image Ironwood, love the bokeh and the colour. I had no idea that Kookaburras found bore pumps interesting

Cheers Greg. I was chasing 3 Kookies trying to get a clear shot of one, this one landed on the wire, the trees behind it were lit beautifully by the afternoon sun, but the bird was shaded by the tree behind me, luckily I had the flash and Better Beamer on the camera, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten the shot. The exposure I had set was good for the background, and the flash lit the bird. There was a bit of luck involved, but some planning paid off too.
      Cheers, Brad.

Fair call, it could probably be a bit lighter.

Good looking bird. Has an intelligent look in its eye.

Cheers Hans. The Kookies are the boss of the backyard garden birds around here, thats for sure.

Agree with Avkomp about the lighting comment. I think a tree branch may have added a bit of flavour but you've got to take what you is presented to you.
I think we need to see that kooka as an oil in a magazine.

I'd love to help out Ironwood - I've done my share in the past - but it's this old footy injury and my back hurts and I've got this ache in my left foot and my arm hurts when I do this with it .......

Good one Brad and Isac. Cables are fine.. If it's ok with the bird, it's ok by me.

Me too Greg, I just take 'em as I see 'em. That said though, a branch does look more natural.

            Oh well here's the branch.

Excellent work Isac. If I didn't know the original had cable, I wouldn't have a clue that it had been altered.
              Cheers, Brad.
