Great shots. No 4 reminds me of the concord jet

Thanks Bill. I never got to see a Concorde in the flesh, let alone fly in one, it would be on the bucket list if they were still around.

Classic shots Ironwood. Great clarity and colour in all of these. Well done - worth putting in a book or on a gallery wall!
What lens did you have on?

Seems a good quality lens for birding. Silly me got the Sigma 150-500 just before the Tamron was released

It does a good job if the light is good and the subject is not too far away. Mine is much better since it went back to Tamron and they adjusted it. It is still problematic with AF though, it locks up from time to time. I would like to trade it for a Nikon 200-500.

Thanks Ironwood. I'm thinking of getting the new Tamron 18-400. A friend of mine (another tog) bought one and is very impressed. Having that would maybe allow me to sell a few of my other lenses.

nice series. think the 6th has the most appeal for me, with what looks to be the nicest light. some of the others had unkind light for you and there is little you can do about that.

Cheers Stephen, the light was pretty harsh, I think it was about 1pm, so the sun was pretty much directly overhead, and the cloud that was about was causing a bit of glare. I never seem to get the chance to get out when the light is better.
          Cheers, Brad.

The pictures are great but the pelican reminds me of a fat ballerina while still graceful it looks a little out of place in the sky.
