    powerful owl chick
a powerful owl family I monitor over winter had a big tree come down next to the next tree. must have made quite a noise, but for whatever reason, they didnt nest the usual time, we thought perhaps they didnt nest at all, or moved to a new hollow but had no joy finding them, but about a month ago, (about 2 months later than normal) they were observed with a chick. whilst we dont know where they nested yet, maybe even the same hollow after the cockatoos finished with it? but is great to see the have raised a chick
this chick is startng to get adult feathers on the breast. (the dark sports)

Great story Stephen. Lovely light on the subject too.

Why do they put expiry dates on cartons of sour cream?
