The iridescent colors in a peacock always amazes me.
    It's the little things!

    Cheers, Greg C.

I agree Greg, the colours are amazing. We have a few around the property. The males always look pretty and the females seem unimpressed with the antics of the guys. The girls just strut around with there noses to the ground foraging for eats. I watched one fella doing a super dance in front of a would be mate and it all went unnoticed. I'll see if I can find a pic.

Nice portraits of a beautiful bird. They look like they enjoy posing too! I collected a few feathers when I was a kid, from a hotel that had a bunch of them living in the grounds, but they were considered unlucky to have on display in the house. Apparently the design on the feathers was considered to represent the "evil eye".... Geez, humans are a superstitious bunch!

    Cheers,

    Chris

Thanks for the kind words Chris. I do have a few feathers about the house but they pale into comparison from the "other" evil eye I get now and then from the leader of the opposition! The red tail in your avatar is pretty special, did you take the pic? I'm interested because I volunteer at Kaarakin.
