  • Water dump plane

At the Perth Skyworks on Australia Day, I had a chance (between the massive sardined crowd to get some lucky shots of planes dumping water.
The woman in front decided she was going to stand up and hold her giant Ipad up in the air. I have images with mobile phones held up and one image of the plane coming in with a selfie stick in it! I have shots of it looking like its about to crash into someone's head and another where a young child looks like they spat it out. But also got these.

The plane is flying into the sun. If you look in top centre,, what appears as dust spots are actually a collection of choppers and planes.

Two very different takes on an interesting subject.

Really like the 'flying off into the sunset' feel of the first and the city skyline makes for a great backdrop. In the second it looks like the plane is making a new cloud.

Well done finding the necessary elbow room to get the shots.

Thank you Greg, I was a bit concerned that shooting into the sun would be problematic.

Absolutely love #1 - the tones and composition are very pleasing. Glad you managed to get the shot with all those annoying photo bombers.

Haha..me too, think this was about when I wanted to push the lady waving the giant I pad held above her head into the swan river.

Who needs timing when you have continuous burst mode! :-) Thank you Alan.
