Not an urchin Alan. This is an inflated Globe-fish / Porcupine-fish laying on its back. You can see its eye in the second shot.

Here's a shot of a live one. They inflate themselves with water when under threat for protection.

Like the texture in the first shot. You can feel that sand. Phones have come a long way.
