  • Fire in the sky and on the ground

Gee, wonder how that fire started

The rain eventually extinguished the fire but it was quite a sight for a while.

Beautiful shot Mick. It's got it all. Love the contrasting colours. A good keeper for the loose cannon album.

This is an absolute 'wow' shot Mick.
Fire, lightning and spectacular clouds shapes in the darkness.
Don't know how you did it!

That's one dramatic image Mick. Positively biblical in it's epic proportions.

Beelzebub himself could not have done better. Which gets me thinking ..... just how did you get this photo?

My indecision is final, I think.

That is an awesome photo. You've keep that one to yourself for awhile.

Building to a climax as you slowly release even more stunning images ?

            Thanks for the comments folks.

Broome is situated on a peninsular and this is a shot across Roebuck bay, this is my go to spot when the wet season storms roll in. Two minutes from home and there are some strong industrial lights a couple of kilometres away well to the right to focus on, that helps a lot.

Just luck and perseverance at play here. Already setup here about a dozen times this wet season for some mainly very B grade results. This is my first decent shot for the season, hopefully the next couple of months will present more opportunities. Been a very weak wet this year but the latter half is generally when all the action happens. Got nothing at all last year but I was a bit slack to be honest. This year I'm pushing hard on the storm photography.

First time I've seen fire and rain though, somebody should write a song about that.

(Only captured this a few days ago Alan, hopefully plenty more to follow)

WOW! Such a dramatic shot, the dark and moody clouds with the red of the fire give such a spectacular contrast.
