  • Super Moon

In case you have been living under a rock - there is a so called 'super moon' tonight.

I fired off a couple of shots with the Tamron 16-300mm between clouds last night in case I get clouded in again.

Feel free to post your super moon photos to this thread.

This is two photos combined - the moon was blown out completely in the shot exposed for the clouds

Nice work Alan. I've decided to wait till tomorrow night as I like the idea of a little bit of shadow. No chance of clouds at the moment in this neck of the woods. Haven't nailed down my spot yet, trying to utilize the long jetty at the port but we'll see how it goes.

Good idea. Standing room only on the Headland tonight.

Low clouds on the horizon and strong, cold southerly winds made the experience quite unpleasant

I called into the beach on the way home and found a few hardy souls with tripods and one with an iPad (and me with my phone)

      Will try again tomorrow

        Lol

Gotta capture moon close to horizon I reckon with some structure for scale. Otherwise it's just a white pimple lost in a big sky, that's my take on it anyway.

          Thanks - no worries

Moon was a bit high at this stage to get any foreground interest
