Surprised as to how stable the footage is. Good toy! May even come in useful.

That's the Gimbal at work. Stabilises the footage really well but does make it harder to fly in tight spots because there is a slight lag in any movement.

Another video. Same spot as a photo I recently shared.

      Nicer music

I also like how you've edited clips together and varied the height and distance in your shots now.

Made another video on the weekend. Starting to play with more features of the software as I learn more.

That music is better too. Maybe try some vertical tracking rather then staying at the same height?

Yeah tough spot for that Alan. Lots of variable height trees and powerlines. Have recently done another and have used some variable height.

You're getting the hang of that thing!

Smooth as silk. Transition effects between scenes would be something worth looking into in the future.

Thanks Mick. Yeah transitioning is something I'm really just starting to play with.

Oh man... that is so so brilliant!
Might have to buy one for my husband for Christmas, he would never guess he's getting one.

If he's the type that enjoys making videos then yeah for sure. If he's more the type that enjoys the flying then I'd consider a mini racing quadcopter or similar.

          Thanks for the comments all.
Here's another couple from the weekend. It's a bit more fast paced and has music to suit. Mute button may be required for some.

Thanks Mick. I tried to keep up but the acceleration of 250hp just blew me away.

Had another go with a ski video. A bit less action and a bit more personality in this one.

Might be even better if you could vary the height and proximity to the skier.

Thanks guys. No Alan I was on land and flying in full manual.
Height was an issue. There's powerlines 11m above the water so I needed to stay under them.

I've got the Phantom 3 Standard Greg.

The gimbal on the Phantom has been playing up for a while now so it was either fix it or upgrade. So Mavic Pro it was. It has a sports mode which makes it fly faster and also a lot more nimble. Had a bit of fun with it on the weekend. The two negatives to sports mode are battery life and all the safety sensors are switched off. Meaning there's a bigger risk of crashing.

Thanks Greg. Yeah the speed stuff takes a bit of practice and more than a few stuff ups I'll admit.
