  • Phalaenopsis orchid.

    Starting to bloom. Two branches fully in bud and last year the flowering lasted three months.

    Beautiful shot. How did you do this? Did you have it in a pot inside? Or did you set up a background somehow?

      Thanks Kathie, no special treatment. The background is the color of the sun-room wall behind the plant which sits in a pot on a cupboard.
      I was able to use available light which negated the shadows and a longer lens (55 - 210) to minimize the depth of field.

      I'll put up a wider shot to show how ordinary the position is.
