thanks but i refuse to shop at target because they will not put my purchases into a bag unless i pay for the bag. I left $100+++ of clothes on the counter because of that.

maybe they should appolagise to you for trying to do their part in keeping our nation green.
Back in 2009 they refused to use plastic bags and implement the new compostable bag with all profits going to a fund. The Alannah and Madeline Foundation’s Buddy Bags Program.

Yyyyyeeepp!!!. If law said not plastic bags as in SA I would go along with it. The checkout chick said some thing like it's only 10 cent and i fired back then it's only 5 cents to target.

I would have to say they are missing several thousand dollars from this family, not that it really makes any difference the their bottom line. I used to buy all my clothes and house stuff there not to mention xmas/birthday gift vouchers for the kids. LO L the kids just gave me a gift voucher for Lowes instead of target.

I even walked into target one day with several bags of clothes from elsewhere and asked the old girl at the front door about the bag fee policy, and in the true Pretty Women style [i love that movie] said something about a big mistake Target. Yeah yeah I know; but I really enjoyed the dumb look on her face and she even agreed with me!!!

Sorry, I am with Target, we should be reducing our dependence on things made from fossil fuels. I always carry some green bags with me, I have a couple of little zip up ones in my handbag.

Robert, thanks for the heads up on the frames, I'll go and have a look tomorrow

Anyway, good prices on those frames, not sure if you have these stores where you are like Cheap as Chips, Bargain Busters, Browse and Save, Reject Shop etc or other so named $2:00 stores...I've bought numerous frames from them at always very cheap prices of all sizes, and comparable to the discounted Target stores...worth a look.

I pity the poor employee who had to drop everything to put all that back on the shelves/racks to be honest Ian, you just upset some poor employee, not the company itself.
And the so called plastic bag replacement scheme here in S.A. is one of the biggest all time cons performed by big americanised companies who have just reaped in millions of extra dollars from sale of the so called enviro friendly bags and it has made almost zero impact on the environmental side of things.....con job indeed.

Oh the company also received a email on the subject Col. I was offered a free bag if I sent them my postal address so someone up top heard about it.

No problems on the Frames info.
As for the bags issue, everybody seems to be doing it these dayz .... Bunnings charges you for the plastic bags, but they do offer small boxes for free.
l take it Lost you dont shop at ALDI either as they charge 15 cents each for their plastic bags. and they sell the insulated bags (for cold foods to keep cold longer) for l think 99 cents. but the shopping is cheaper then the normal supermarket, but recently they are raising their prices as well.
problem is l always end up spending around $100-130 dollars, cause you think its cheaper, but you end up buying more somehow?

ohhh .. by the way, l went to target today to buy a Sandwich press and at the counter was small pocket editions of different titles books for 36 cents!!!! YES 36 cents! so bought Digital Photography for 36cents .... YOU BEAUTY l say and cleaning and removing stains, fishing books, etc. What a Bargain! And gues what Ian (Lost) l got the plastic bag for free as well! no joke.

I think thats silly that you refuse to buy a plastic bag to be honest.

Surely you can understand the reasoning behind it all Ian, or do you want me to explain what actually happens to the mentioned plastic bag after you get it home and throw it away? I mean after all, that plastic bag made it easy for you to get your items from target or wherever the shop is, to your house with ease... That is about all it is useful for. My theory is if you can carry the items to the checkout, then surely you can carry them to the car - without a bag!

    Sheesh!!

Anyway, yes thanks to the OP for the heads up on prices... 50% is always a good saving.

Surely you can understand the reasoning behind it all Ian,
    >>yeah; to help their bottom line.

or do you want me to explain what actually happens to the mentioned plastic bag after you get it home and throw it away?
    >>i use them for the rubbish instead of buying plastic bags

I mean after all, that plastic bag made it easy for you to get your items from target or wherever the shop is, to your house with ease... That is about all it is useful for. My theory is if you can carry the items to the checkout, then surely you can carry them to the car - without a bag!
    >>Yeah yeah! so i'm going carry $100 worth of cloths around the shopping centre than carry them home as i was actually walked the 20 minutes to the shopping centre that day and had no intention of buy the cloths in the first place. And because I walked i saved the environment

The really funny part is if you approach the other stores they will give you a bag the carry target goods. And of coarse their name is on the bag to advertise their store around the shopping centre.

and those stupid green bags are now doing more damage than the normal plastic bags.

The big stores love the shopping bag BS; they sell green bags and we have to buy plastic rubbish bag win win for them.

and BTW I refuse to shop at HN because of their stupid load advertising BS.
