A railway station with a town attached
    - Mark Twain
I took a night shot there about 12 months ago but didn't quite work out. Been meaning to go back and give it another go.

What a beautiful old building Rob and your portrayal in pano is wonderful. I haven't done a pano yet (still to learn) so I love looking at everyone's. They have such a presence about them compared to a lot of the newer architecture, I love the art deco period.

Those who live glass houses should not throw stones but I'm going throw a rocks here because I feel this forum is falling over just because of this point: this is a PHOTOGRAPHY FORUM. It's not a architecture forum or old building forum. It's a PHOTOGRAPHY FORUM. But most of the comments don't relate the photography side of the thread. Posts are about "nice buildings". And this post has been prompted by a PM from a member who thinks the same. Photoholics is failing the photographs. And I guess I feel I have been failing the photographers lately.

How about this. "Interesting image Rob. But I feel it has been chopped off on the RHS. You might also consider cropping off a bit of the grass and/or darken the grass a bit with burn tool. If those modern cars were not there it would look good IMO as toned B+W. have you noticed you cropped off the mask thing on the building. With panos it pays to photograph wider (top/bottom that is) and crop later.

Did you take the photos vertically or horizontally rob?. LO L I still have not seen the bird BTW!!"

that's about the PHOTOGRAPHY side of the photo. Photoholicis is photography. lets start talking more photography and helping each other progress with photography. Photoholics is meant to be over the fickr "nice photo" stuff. If members don't want feed back then post in snapshot; or lets open another section for "sharing only".

And I will give you another pet hate of mine ATM. When someone takes the time to write a tut of some sort; even if it's all incorrect, at least someone out of 35 lurkers could post a simple "thankyou".

now i better pick up the glass before the phone rings and i have to go and do another 14 hours in the rattle bucket.

The camera & lens it's just a tool to capture light and shadows.

    Done. hope you're happy now

I think it would work better with the station lower. Less of the foreground and more of the sky (including the mast Ian mentioned).

Seriously Ian, you have raised some interesting points & the one that strikes a chord with me is around the lurkers! If I take a look at a shot I also take the time to comment
