    That is one weird yet interesting thing isn't it? I didn't even know they had a barrier. They actually look like they just have silver reflective insulation draped over them.

    Thanks guys. The barrier was built in the 80's. I always thought it was just recent due to it's futuristic design. It's a strange thing to look at and yes it does look like insulation draped over it.
