    The Big Four

The Washington Big Four. There is not a lot you can do artistic wise with these. The one disappointment was the reflecting pool was drained and being rebuilt.

More excellent images, Lloyd. You seem to be doing the Cook's tour of the US! And it looks great.

Did you get any shots of the Vietnam memorial wall?

Thanks Tania, yes, amazing is right, we had a ball! The normal everyday American people are so different than we expected, they are very friendly and helpful and just love Aussies.

Not as bad as the ones who we stumbled upon earlier BD, there was some high powered meeting taking place and they were watching us through bino’s and we were told to move on and no pictures by the men in the big black Suburbans who were wearing body armour!! Naturally we just said no worries and bolted haha

The proximity is what got us Scott, right there in the city and it is ringed on 3 sides. Naturally there would have been snipers on every side.

Thanks Odille. No, there were quite a few things I did not shoot, it was raining nearly all day and quite a few times I was not even game to pull the camera out for fear of getting it drowned. By the time it did clear a bit we were too knackered to walk back again as we'd already walked about 10klm.
