All good then. Perhaps that error was because you did not have a layer selected in the Layers Panel? It will work on any selected layer. Also you don't have to "flatten" the image, it's always better to make a "Stamped Layer" before applying the Sharpening action. To do that, turn on visibility of the layers you want to merge to a stamped layer and press Shift+Ctrl+Alt+E. This will make a NEW layer containing the visible layers for you to select and run the action on. This way keeps all of your layers intact. I just wrote an action for you to make a stamped layer. It makes a Stamped Layer of all Visible layers , renames it to "STAMPED Layer" and places it on top of your Layers Panel. Download it here: https://www.isacimages.com/Free/Make...ED%20LAYER.zip

Made it pop. There was very little to choose between the RGB channels. It did hang up said it couldn't duplicate I flattened the image and away it went.

I was unaware that it did that, so that's a good thing. In the action, you can bypass the "messages" by unchecking the "tick' to the left of the "Stop" command.

Did you notice the darkened areas around the letters? Looks like the noise was reduced. I will look more later.

The beauty of this is you can apply the sharpening to any selected area by utilising the mask and also the opacity.

Cheers Hans. Just delete the old set in Photoshop and use the new one. The new action uses Vivid Light. Just doube-click the ATN file and it will install in Photoshop automatically.

Thanks Isac. Noticed when downloading I had a file with the same name from 12.07.20. I will see what happens.

I have included it in my existing sharpening actions "Isac Images SHARPEN Actions". Get it HERE (Photoshop TAB) if you want to play - and feedback is welcome on how it works for you. Thanks
