  • Eagleby Wetlands Birds

A few birds from Eagleby Wetlands last Friday. The boardwalk was closed off, presumably for repairs but the rest of the reserve was open. Quite ordinary results, but a pleasant morning walk.

    1. Red-browed Finch. I waited a while for one to perch on something but they insisted on staying in the grass.

    3. Black Swan Family. I hadn't been back since I saw them nesting due to lockdowns and other commitments. There is still a lot of dead vegetation from when the lake last dried..

    5. Wandering Whistling Duck. These seem to have taken up residence.

All excellent images. No1 with his costume on going to a fancy dress party.
#2 The back lighting makes this a strong image.
The repetition of the signets following a parent looks great.
Reflection in 4 and 5 pattern and colouring of the duck.
    Great collection.

Better a full bottle in front of me
    than a full frontal lobotomy.
