For once I got a shot of these low down as I normally find them up in the tree tops.
And I am usually complaining about the 400mm not having enough reach and this day it would have been okay with a far shorter reach.
These were on this day walking about my feet and it would of been good to have someone with me to capture this as I am sure a quick movement would have scattered.

1 = Just happy to capture these down so low for once

Well done Ralph. It’s wonderful when the birds cooperate and come close.

I know I was really happy to get them like this as It's not a lot of the time that you see them down from the lower branches.

Lucky you having them so close. They must be used to humans roaming around. Lovely image set. Very clear and good framing to show their surrounds.

The funny thing is that I would totally agree with you but these were well out bush so all the would see are dopes like me with time on their hands that can travel close to an hour out bush to find them. So maybe they might not have learnt that people can be nasty.

Phil I totally agree with you on that as these are in my top 10 so to get close up and low ones made my day.
Working...
