  • Chestnut-breasted Mannikin

Two from last November that I never got around to posting. I've framed these quite loosely as they were a bit far away.

    2. I removed a vertical branch across the middle of the frame from this one.

Two very nice images Alan, I think that I prefer #2. Nice to have the head and chest in the sunlight, shame about the shadow on the shoulder, very difficult to edit out without it being noticeable.

Never seen one of these and would like to one day but again this is just greed.
Well taken on both of these samples of this little bird and I like the background as to me it helps make the birds stand out in the shots.
Show it how it is and not how you want it to be.

Thanks Ralph. They’re fairly common around here, but often hiding in the long grass.

Well presented Alan, worthy of publication. Like Ralph, I've not seen these birds so TFS.

I dusted once and it came back. I'm not falling for that again!
I never make the same mistake twice. I do it like, five or six times, you know, to make sure.
