    tad busy but works ok as an environment pic.
    this one looks a tad bright on the chest area compared to the ones I see around here. maybe light is hitting it a bit there or they lighter and brighter than our ones.

      Nicely framed with good detail and I like the way it is poking its head out of the foliage. I agree the background is a little busy. It does look a bit lighter than ours but I think it might be the angle of the light.

        These are the killers of baby Eurasian Coots.
        I have watched them circle around a baby and this cuts the parents out for helping it.
        Then one will come in and close it's beak on the neck of the baby which kills it straight away.
        Then that one will race off with the dead baby to a quite spot and eat it.
        This is the truth as I have watched this a couple of times now.
        Though they do take a nice photo but they have a dark side to them.
