both images have had shadow highlight selectively on the crest and tail. seems to have brought that down a bit.
just hadnt noticed cos it didnt show any blown stuff in acr. just didnt look hard enough, I guess. will sleep better now anyhow.

ok was just below being blown, so have edited the images and added some highlight reduction to the crest and tail area

Just what my eyes see Stephen. On the crests and the fanned tail. Maybe blown wasn't the right word, perhaps too bright may have been better

I love a good galah shot and these are up there Stephen. i notice some blown areas but maybe because of image size?

Lovely colours in this one and I think the background complements the subjects. Great to have the birds facing each other in #1. I can see why you like #2 because of the wing position and feeling of movement - it's a bit hard to see the water drops at this size.

saw these two in a large gum tree getting shelter as best as they could.
let me get a pic or two before having had enough and flying away. is a pair with the male on the left
