    2. Chick
    I saw this small bird bobbing around in the grass and couldn't identify it, until I managed to get a shot and zoom in on it, when it became obvious it was a chick. There were actually two of them moving around in the grass a little distance from the adult birds. Difficult to get focus because of all the grass.

      Thanks Stephen. I didn't move from the path and they were a fair distance away. One of he people I was talking to suggested he would walk closer if the ground wasn't so wet - I thought but didn't say 'better you than me'.

    They are a strange (to me) looking bird, but as most will say "Their kids are cute when they're little". Lovely shots Alan. I can't see any focus issues with the baby.

      I assume you use single spot focus?

      Yes, although I think I had it on 9 point for the first couple.

    Excellent shots. That shot of the chick is adorable.
    Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.
