I am currently holidaying with friends at Walloon in Queensland, which is about a 10 minute drive from the RAAF base at Amberley. I drove down there today to try my luck at getting some decent shots of the FA-18's taking off or landing. No luck there, but they did have a static display of the first F-111 to be accepted by the Australian Air Force.

Great story there John. Super plane and well captured. Good symmetry in #2 and #5. It does have a good nose on it - similar to a kookaburra.

      Well done GJ

ps- if you can get yourself up to the Temora air show (once a month when all going well) they have an F111 that occasionally goes up too

Nicely captured. Really like the viewpoint in 2 & 5. #5 looks rather like staring down the end of a pair of giant lenses (binoculars). What is it that creates the reflection?

Thanks for the kind feedback A&B. There is a silver disc in each of the engines, I assume to stop foreign debris entering them.
