  • Reeds are flattening

The heavy and consistent rains are flattening the reeds at the lake but it's still a lovely place to stroll around.

The same thing is happening across the road but it's not the wind and rain but they have to be playing a part in it.
But our lot are like this as the Purple Swamphens are climbing to the tops of them and then they bend down.
Though it's not just one it is about 5 or 6 of them doing it. They have been constantly changing the places where the reeds grow.
As I do know they get to the green stems in the water and pull them out and eat the inner's of the reed.
And this is what they feed the young ones on more than anything else.

I haven't seen the swampies do that as yet here Ralph - thanks for the tip, I'll keep a look out.

Lovely colours Isac and I like the combination of horizontal bands of colour and vertical tree trunks.
