  • The source of the Yarra River

    Not a particularly thrilling photo but a sight few will ever see (especially seeing as you are not supposed to go in there).
    This sink hole is high up on the ranges near Mt Baw Baw and is the official source of the Yarra River.

    Hmmm, I wonder how deep that is. A good treck I imagine, any good birds on the way..:-)

      It’s only about 200 metres off the (dirt) road but you have to know where it is and climb over a fence to get to it.

      Underground spring I suspect.

    Interesting shot. Is it spring fed or just where water collects from rain storms?
    Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.
