Good series Isac, showing the transformation from leaves to flowers. They are spectacular when in flower, particularly where there is a row of them.

    G'day Isac

Yep - it's Jacaranda season on the east coast too - loving all those wonderful purple trees up and down streets and across the countryside

Beautiful shots. Those flowers are incredibly vibrant.

They do bloom very quickly Alan. I'd love to see them all year round.

Thanks Phil. I've seen plenty that lined the streets around Perth and especially in the Swan Valley wine region when I used to visit all the wineries.

Cheers David. Jacaranda is a genus of 49 species of the flowering plants/trees. mainly native to tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas, but seen around the world nowadays.

Here's a street shot from the Swan Valley.

I was thinking that I’ve seen trees like these before. I use to see them when visiting some aunts in Cochabamba, Bolivia.

Their colour is very striking David. I have a friend in Chile who has spoken about Cochabamba. He said that's where the statue El Cristo de la Concordia is.

Thank you Mark. They are extraordinary looking trees, especially when they all bloom together on the avenues.
      Working...
