I went for a walk around Eagleby Wetlands on Saturday morning. I was much later than usual and the birds were very quiet but I did find a few flowers. Nothing very exciting and the light wasn't ideal.

    1. Native Hibiscus. Hibiscus heterophyllus I think.

    2. Not Hibiscus but in the same family. Pavonia hastata perhaps

Thanks David. Just quick grabs as I was wandering around.

Beautiful Alan. I love a good floral display, especially this time of year.
#4 looks like a Long-leaf willow primrose (Ludwigia longifolia). It's an invasive weed and is not good. It's native to South America.
    • outcompetes native plants
    • reduces food and habitat for fish and other aquatic animals
    • changes water flow and increases flood risks
    • limits access to waterways.
