An old country church, possibly only used 3 or 4 times each year and showing signs of age, still shows all the hallmarks of the stonemasons and craftsmen in construction, maybe 100 years ago

I love the old architecture Phil. Lovely detail showing the skill of the builders. Your image has good symmetry. Could do with a lick of paint though
I'm beginning to think that images of this genre, need a wider view as well (2 or 3 images) as nowadays I'm really looking for a sense of scale to appreciate them. I hope that makes sense.

A learned craft. And one practiced for thousands of years. It is an eye opener to see what the Egyptians produced 5000 years ago. The world's oldest stone building looks remarkably modern and more like art deco.
This would appear to be more about the door than the building. Looks strong enough to kep me out.
