  • Another goal coming up

    G'day all

Aussie Rules Footy is a fast-moving game of 'play the ball and kick for a goal' whenever the opportunity arises. Here two country teams from towns 60km apart are doing the best they can. The game ended with 16 goals to the winner vs 4 goals to the loser

    1)- a kick for goal

2)- not gunna letcha mark this one !

    As always, feedback welcome

Good action shots. Well composed and exposed. I remember as a young hopefull (1955) chatting up one of the players girlfriend in the car on the sideline. Gave me a weaknes for pink fuffy jumpers. Thanks Merle.

Good action Phil, particularly #2 as it has loads of implied movement.

Good action Phil. They look a bit soft to me. What mode did you shoot with and what focus system?

Hindsight - maybe a much higher s/speed next time

Higher shutter speed - yes, I start at 1/2000th and higher for footy and birds in flight and minimum aperture of f5.6 or smaller to f8 and Auto ISO. Highest burst rate you can set with tracking. Try Back-Button-Focus as well.
