  • Back for another dip

    G'day all.

It has been a while since my last post and I am not even sure what it was but it isn't important.
Few things in my life have changed since I have been away and that is not what I am willing to talk about for now.
I have been going out when I can and most times it has been on my own.

My camera I have might have change since I was here and I now have a Sony A7mark3 with a Sigma 150/600mm sports lens on it.
I have been quite surprised about how well it able to get the in close shots but I still think I need a dedicated smaller lens.
My address has changed but I am still in Sunraysia and will be for much longer as well.

The main photography I do is still birds which has got a little quite around here this year for some reason.
In summer of 2024 it was just too hot to venture out and this gave us a few months off not that I liked it.
I am sure I still have the same car I had when he was a posted here and it is still going strong, so this is a good story.

I have got older as we all have and I have taken a few tumbles and broke some bones in the act of this.
So now on outing I have to put on knee braces, back brace and a brace on my left wrist.
Without the wrist braced up I would not be able to be out for more than half an hour.

I did try to us a Mono-pod but I just found it far too clumsy for me seeing I am clumsy without that on my own.
I am not going to try and say I have got better as this is up to you to to have your own opinion.
But I still enjoy getting out with the camera and being in the bush looking for birds in my area.

One thing is that hasn't changed is that I still follow Richmond Tigers and yes I hear you laughing now.
I do know as they go from boys to men things will change in the win/loss numbers, well I hope they do.
And we are down to one little Mutt now his name in Busta and he is a mix breed Terrier.

I think this will do me for now I I will hunt for a few shots to post either later tonight or tomorrow.
So hello once again to one and all.
    Ralph.
I post what I photograph and what I post is how I like it.

Welcome back Ralph. Sad to hear of your aches and pains and I'm sure many of us here are or have been in the same boat. Nice gear you have for birding so I will wait patiently to see some more wonderful bird photos gracing our pages.

Just for your info, your last thread was 23rd of October, 2022, a few photos of fairy wrens - so it was 994 days ago

I just fired myself from cleaning my house.
I don't like my attitude and I caught myself drinking on the job.

Thanks for that and it is the crap that happens with age and there are a few other things going on in the household and life.
Phil (Ozzie_Traveller) that was the one to get me back and I am glad to be back as well.
And that is a fair bit of time away which I had no idea about. So thanks for the welcome back to.
