  • Abstract Flowers

    Hi

Darren inspired me to have a play with the bristle brushes in PS. Picked an old flower photo from Floriade.

Had no idea what I was doing, just mucking around with them and some layer modes.

    Cheers

You've created some interesting effects in these two shots. Jackson Pollock eat your heart out.

I'm going to bite the bullet and say then are not my thing and I don't like them .. been back and forth over the days trying to figure out how to say it nicely and because this forum is so cruisy and ppl don't get their noses twisted over a negative thing, I'm sure you will cope with the comment .. and also knowing the fact that I like your other creatively artistic work

Thanks Anna - don't be afraid of voicing your opinion. This experimentation will not appeal to everyone, and I didn't expect it to.

I'm old enough and been on a few forums long enough to be able to cope with someone saying politely that they don't like something I've posted

Thanks for taking the time to mull over them and then decide

          Cheers

I am going with a 50/50 split on these Alan. The first one is too dark for my liking but the second one is absolutely fabulous and I would love to have it printed out big on canvas and hanging on my wall.

I tend to agree with Tania.

The first I find a little depressing, whereas the second is bright and bubbly and would make a great wall print.

Good on you for having a crack Alan, I enjoy looking at your work.

                Thanks for sharing
                Cheers Richard !

I've come back to these, and I quite like 'em.

#2 is my favorite, although #1 has a subtlety which is growing on me.

I think it's the painter in you coming out again Alan.

My indecision is final, I think.
