  • Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun 3

I couldn't see anything in the sun's glare, so I just hoped I captured something as the plane flew overhead.

Ouch, I can feel your retinal damage and sensor burnout from here.
It's provided you with quite an unusual image.....looks like the plane is doomed!

Pink Floyd could have used that image for an album cover, well done.

Very arty, very different, very unusual and very well presented Alan.

I copied it from the album and just changed the WALL to SUN by drawing it. You can get the font though from HERE. It's a freebie !

It's not one of their better known tracks. I was lucky enough to see them perform it at Festival Hall in Melbourne in 1972.

                    Lucky you

I had no idea what the lyrics meant then - and I'm no wiser now - but I still love their music

Little by little the night turns around.
Counting the leaves which tremble at dawn
Lotuses lean on each other in yearning
Under the eaves the swallow is resting

Set the controls for the heart of the sun.
Over the mountain watching the watcher.
Breaking the darkness, waking the grapevine.
One inch of love is one inch of shadow
Love is the shadow that ripens the wine.

Set the controls for the heart of the sun.
The heart of the sun, the heart of the sun.

                    Witness theā€¦

The result of ingesting copious amounts of mind altering substances I suspect. But they still made great music.
Careful With That Axe, Eugene always freaked me out.

                      "Careful With That Axe, Eugene"
Down, down. Down, down. The star is screaming.
Beneath the lies. Lie, lie. Tschay, tschay, tschay.
[Sound of Waters blowing into the microphone]
                      [Light screaming from Waters]
Careful, careful, careful with that axe, Eugene.
                      [Very loud and prolonged scream]
[Another very loud and prolonged scream]
                      [Waters blowing into the microphone]
                      [Light screaming from Waters]
                      The stars are screaming loud.
                      Tsch.
                      Tsch.
                      Tsch.
                      [Low groaning sound from Waters]

Ah yes, Pink Floyd, they probably don't even remember writing half of their stuff because they were, err, you know what I mean hahaha. Yep, can almost feel the sensor frying on that one Alan and the plane, well, it's all over for it.
