  • Reed Warbler

    Australian (Clamorus) Reed-warbler, Acrocephalus stentoreus - female. Bungendore. Not the best pic, but a first for me. They love to stay in the reeds and drive togs crazy. I'll have to go back in better light, and with more patience.



    D7000 300mm x1.7TC tripod. 1/1000 f/7.1 640 ISO +1/3ev. Slight crop and try to clone out a reed across the beak

    Alright Show Off you can spell the botanical Latin name, but can you pronounce it?

    Sorry I am being facetious, I can handle the botanical names of plants but I must admit I have been lazy learning the botanical of our feathered friends.

    I like the photo as well, did you get wet feet catching the image.

        It is similar to clitorus lol.

        A nice looking bird. Pretty eyes and colouring.

          Nice shot, like the way her feet are curled around the reed. Her legs must be at quite an angle to her body but must be comfortable for them.
